Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration, also known as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), is a common eye condition and a leading cause of vision loss among people aged 50 and older. This progressive disease affects the macula, a small but crucial part of the retina responsible for central vision. If left untreated, macular degeneration can result in blurred or distorted vision, making daily tasks like reading and driving challenging. Early detection and proper management are key in preserving vision for those affected by macular degeneration.
